Preserving a Legacy

Meet Nick Boldt, a fifth-generation stone fruit farmer whose passion for agriculture runs deep. Nick's farming journey started at age 7 when he asked for a peach tree for Christmas. After leaving his family's farm to study and pursue engineering for a few years he recognized a greater societal need for young individuals interested in organic farming, and chose to follow his heart back to California to embrace agriculture. His passion extends to both fields, and he finds his engineering background invaluable on the farm

After a lengthy search, Nick purchased his farm in 2018 from the esteemed Orchard Master Fitz Kelly (Fitzgerald's Premium Stone Fruit). All of the other offers to purchase the farm were from large scale operations intending to bulldoze everything for conventional farming – an unfortunate norm for small family farms in the area.

Nick continues to farm the 80+ varieties of peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, and pluots and has added even more! Organic Certification, Solar installation, and water saving micro irrigation are some of the many things Nick and his team have done to continue to improve the farm.
